Victory for Greens on the Road
Gorleston came back from a goal behind to earn their first away win in six attempts.
Mitch McKay and Joel Watts dropped to the bench as the Greens made two changes from Saturday's defeat. They were replaced by Peter Lambert and Keegan Middleton, who was given his first start since returning to the club. Isaac Burrage made his 50th appearance.
After a goalless first half, Borough took the lead in the 70th minute when a cross from the right was turned into his own goal by Lambert.
The Greens were behind for just seven minutes when three goals in seven minutes ensured Gorleston went home with three points.
Ismael Fatadjo got the equaliser in the 77th minute before sub Joel Watts put his side ahead three minutes later with his 16th goal of the season and his 50th overall in a Gorleston shirt.
With six minutes remaining Gorleston were awarded a penalty and up stepped Middleton to slot in his second goal in two games to make sure of the points. Middleton has now converted twelve penalties for Gorleston, the fifth highest total of all time for the Greens, although he is still 14 behind Steve King.
